    Louisville Greekfest 2016
    Come and enjoy being Greek for a weekend! Louisville's Greek Fest presents the best of Greek food, pastries, music and entertainment. Come experience the sights and sounds of Greece without having to take your passport! Free entrance and free parking on our church grounds.

    The June Flea Off Market
    The Flea is one of Louisville's favorite places to shop local. Flea patrons can expect to find used books, records, fine arts and crafts, antiques, jewelry, vintage clothing…kinda everything under the sun.  There’s also a great lineup of food and entertainment including live theater, live music, dozens of food trucks, and a bar with seasonal cocktails and a selection of local craft beers and breakdancing.

    Blackacre | Best Bloomin' Festival
    Come celebrate green living at Blackacre. Friday will be a kickoff concert and Saturday will be a green living festival with workshops covering a variety of gardening and sustainable living topics, vendors' booths with the same focus, tours of our very own community gardens, a Lil' Sprouts Play Area and more.

    Flame Run | “Fire & Femininity”
    Flame Run is featuring the work of painter Anessa Arehart and a dozen glass artists in their upcoming "Fire & Femininity" all-female exhibition, opening June 3 and running through August 29. The roster of participating glass artists for "Fire and Femininity" will provide a dynamic display of glass techniques by Whitney Olsen, Carolyn Spears, Sarabeth Post, Angela St Vrain, Casey McMains, Dorie Guthrie and many more. An opening night reception and glass blowing demonstration begins Friday.

    Cards Under the Stars | “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”
    The event kicks off on the lawn between the Natural Sciences Building and Grawemeyer Hall. The film begins at sunset. Pre-movie activities include: meet and greet with “Star Wars” characters, children’s inflatables and games, and appearances by members of the Louisville League of Mascots. Concessions will be available for purchase. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and picnic baskets and coolers with snacks and drinks to make for a comfortable evening. Parking is available in the lot next to Grawemeyer Hall (2301 S. Third St.) and behind Ernst Hall (216 Eastern Parkway). Cards Under the Stars will continue Friday, June 24 with “Zootopia” and Friday, July 22 with “Inside Out."

    PLAY Dance Bar | BLōFISH Kickstarter Launch Party
    The long-awaited BLōFISH pants and underwear are finally here for pre-order! To celebrate, BLōFISH is releasing them exclusively on the crowd-sourcing platform Kickstarter. BLōFISH hopes this launch puts them on the radar nationally, and allows them to continue making their high-quality gender-neutral clothing.

    Revelry | “Ballet-O-Mane!”
    Revelry is pleased to present “Balletomane!” a group art show hosted by the Relevé Society, Louisville Ballet's junior board. Join Revelry for an opening reception celebrating collaborations between Louisville Ballet dancers and local artists including Ben Marcum Shohei Katayama Letitia Quesenberry Tiffany Maloney Anna May Purchases of the artwork will support the Relevé Society's mission to promote Louisville Ballet to the next generation of ballet aficionados, a.k.a. Balletomanes!

    Copper & Kings | Kentiki
    The underground (is that underwater?) Ohio River Surf Club celebrates summer with a grand Tiki party on Friday June 3. Louisville’s world-famous surf rock band, Interia, featuring members of Wanda Jackson’s touring band, Bodeco and ex-members of the Ladybirds will perform in all their glory. World-class Tiki cocktails featuring Copper & Kings American Brandy will be served: guests can look forward to the classic Daiquiri, the Suffering Bastard, the Scorpion, and other groovy concoctions. Food will be served: Butchertown Pie Company pasties, delicious grilled brats and summer delights will be on sale. Guests are encouraged to wear hula skirts, or just skirts, Hawaiian shirts, swimsuits, shorts, bikinis and flip-flops.

    Parklands of Floyd’s Fork | Outrunning Autism 5K & Fun Walk
    Runner? Jogger? Walker? Join FEAT of Louisville's 11th Annual Outrunning Autism 5K & Fun Walk. Outrunning Autism is a race event for all ages and fitness levels and a great family event with a Vendor Village, bounce houses, bubbles, face painting, character appearances and more.

    21C | Yoga With Art
    Flex those creative muscles as you work through a variety of ancient yoga poses led by Cami Glauser and Zac Goldstein of 502 Power Yoga. Sessions are just $5 at the door. Attendees are welcome to bring their own mats, but extra mats are available should students come without one. Be sure to arrive early to ensure a spot because space is limited!

    Downtown Louisville |  Louisville Quest! “The Original”
    A sightseeing tour, scavenger hunt & race, all rolled into one. Louisville Quest’s original route starts at the historic Belle of Louisville wharf and explores the fun locations in downtown Louisville. Each team will receive a packet of puzzles to solve along the way. All Quests end with an award ceremony where teams compare notes, enjoy refreshments, and the top teams earn token awards. Enjoy!     2016 Highland Renaissance Festival

    Southside Quarry | Rock the Quarry 2016

    8th Annual Butchertown Art Fair
    The 8th Annual Butchertown Art Fair will feature 100+ artists (including Drock Press, featured above in the article image) food trucks, drinks, kids' activities, and more. Hildegard House is the nonprofit partner this year, so attendees are asked to bring disposable travel items to donate like toothbrushes and deodorant. The art fair is held in historic Butchertown on a beautiful tree-lined street amongst 19th century homes.

    Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge
    Become a part of history! Join us for the Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge, where attendees will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for people hugging trees at the same time at the same location. The attempt will require at least 1,201 tree huggers to break the record, but Bernheim wants to attract upwards of 3,000 people to not only break the record, but to hold that title for years to come. South Korea holds the current record. The tree hug will be a celebration of the role trees play in our lives and will include a full afternoon of fun tree-themed activities falong with music and food vendors. The actual tree hug takes place at 2:30 p.m. Huggers are asked to arrive no later than 1:30 to be assigned their tree and get in place for the official count. The Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge is hosted in conjunction with the traveling exhibit Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat on display at Bernheim through July 5. There is no cost to participate, but pre-registration is recommended.

    Iroquois Amphitheater | Americana World Festival 2016
    Once a year, Americana Community Center brings everyone together to help celebrate the diversity and compassion of Louisville at the Americana World Festival. This festival will celebrate heritages from around the world – and across the Bluegrass – with live music, local and international cuisine, goods, crafts and more. The festival is a free, family-oriented event that features a 5K Run/Walk, international performances, diverse cuisines, community resources & vendors, and activities for children.

    New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater | Fest of Ale 2016
    Keg Liquors Fest of Ale seeks to bring awareness and monetary gifts for Crusade for Children with this event. Additionally, they hope to further craft beer in Indiana by providing a premier tasting event that embodies the craft beer lifestyle. This event will feature sampling of more than 100 craft beers in a grass roots beer festival environment.

    The Louisville Zoo | Zoofari 2016! One Wild Night
    At this largest annual fund-raising event benefiting the Zoo, guests can again expect the opportunity to be up close and personal with the Zoo’s animals while also enjoying hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet sit-down dinner, themed cocktails, a silent auction, the opportunity to adopt an animal during the live auction, music entertainment and more.

    LaGrange Arts on the Green 2016
    Join the Arts Association of Oldham County for the 17th annual Arts on the Green Fine Arts and Crafts Festival (AOG). The festival is held on the picturesque lawn of the Oldham County Courthouse Square in LaGrange, Ky. located just northeast of Louisville, Ky. AOG offers Friday afternoon set-up, golf carts for loading and unloading, continental breakfast Sat. and Sun., booth sitters, Kentucky hospitality, and a "wine down" Sat. after close.
