Girls and Guys, Hats & Ties Fashion Show at Churchill Downs
Fashion show and silent auction of 50 hats and ties to benefit Dress for Success of Louisville (DFSL). The event features a fashion show with local hat designers and boutiques, silent auction, specialty cocktails, hat demonstrations by Jo Ross and music by DJ Jaybird. The event will be held at The Turf Club of Churchill Downs and 100% of proceeds go to DFSL.

Each year, the Louisville Hibernians put together, with the wonderful help of all of our “Irish” friends, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The 2015 AOH St. Patrick’s Parade theme is “Hibernians do it in the Highlands!” As many as 150 units are expected for this year’s parade, which will step off at 3 p.m. at Baxter and Broadway proceeding along the Baxter/Bardstown Road corridor. Often called the “people’s” parade, families join a mix of decorated vehicles and groups along the route. As many as 100,000+ people watched or marched in last year’s parade. The morning of the parade, we invite all to enjoy an Irish Breakfast followed by Noon Mass. 

 

The 5th Annual Louisville Kids Fair will take place at a new location- The Kentucky Exposition Center! The Louisville Kids Fair is a family festival that incorporates multiple activities for all ages including: Meet and Greets with Spongebob Squarepants and Tommy from Rugrats, Magic Shows, Inflatables, Inflatable Pony Bouncers, Miniature Golf, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Roller Skating, Fitness Fun with My Gym Louisville, Exhibitors, Gaming Truck, Hands-on Activity Centers, Jumbo Game Area, Fire and Safety Vehicles, Mascots, Face Painting, Tot Town, Carnival Rides and so much more!

 

It's been 10 years since the opening of The Monkey Wrench. To celebrate the anniversary of one of Louisville most beloved Highland's hangout, we're throwing a birthday bash! Once the St. Patrick's Day parade is over, head on over to The Monkey Wrench and get nostalgic with us. Entertainment from Steve Cooley and Scott Carney's DEVO cover band. To wrap up the celebration we're bringing back the Barret Avenue Shake with DJ Matt Anthony and Woodrow on the Radio! We'll have Kentucky Mules, Moscow Mule cups made out of Tin Tin stands for 10 years so you can cheers to your favorite Monkey Wrench memory, as well as tasty treats from The Monkey's Uncle Grill feat. Lil Cheezers available all day and all night long. 

 

On Saturday, March 14, The National MS Society, KY-Southeast Chapter is excited to host our 5th Annual MS Walk Kick-Off and Donut Building Challenge. Competitors wait for this all year long! The event will kick off at the popular PLAY Lounge and Event space at 9:00AM. Teams compete by sculpting monuments, buildings, and many other objects out of yummy Krispy Kreme donuts! TV personalities, members of the media, dignitaries, and MS friends & members will judge entries. A free pancake breakfast and coffee will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. We encourage and invite people to learn more about MS and how to help the organization.

Strut your stuff as we highlight the Peacock designs in our current exhibition, Peacocks and Paisleys. There will be a variety of fun hands-on activities in an event focused on the bird artfully pictured within many Asian cultures.

There are still tickets available for Maroon 5's show at the KFC Yum! Center featuring special guests Magic! and Rozzi Crane.

A puppet slam evening of music and comedy.  Short-form puppet skits, cocktails, experiments, and sketchiness, all interspersed with classic French crooning.  Skits written and performed by certified professional hacks.  House band for the evening is FRENCH LOUNGE with vocalist Dane Waters and accordionist Mike O'Bryan.

 

The March market is on Sat. March 14th and Sun. March 15th at Fresh Start Growers Supply. We will have over 100 vendors offering a multitude of hand-made items including musical instruments, jewelry, clothing, accessories, soaps, terrariums, and a variety of local fine arts and crafts. Also featured will be farm-fresh goods, vintage clothing, records, books, antiques, curiosities, and tons of cool used stuff, not to mention great music, tarot readings, firepits an all kind of esoterica. The Flea Off Market will also have restaurants and food trucks focusing on locally sourced ingredients accompanied by seasonal beers and cocktails.

At this show, one lucky couple will win a wedding and reception at Woodhaven Country Club.  (Value over $15,000+) You must be present to be a finalist. The Winner will be drawn on 99.7 DJX on Monday, March 16.  The winner will be contacted after the drawing live on the air. Free admission for all registered brides and grooms!
