    Pre-Feast Fitness Fest
    Imagine sitting down to your Thanksgiving meal knowing you’ve earned the right to gobble up every sweet and savory calorie. Get that guilt-free feeling by taking advantage of the JCC’s Pre-Feast Fitness Fest. The Fest is a sampler platter of the JCC’s five most popular group fitness classes served up in back-to-back 30-minute portions for two hours straight. How many servings you consume is up to you. You could take the same class four times in a row, try four different classes, or just take in one or two half-hour workouts.

    Cost: Free for JCC members. Half-price guest passes for friends of JCC members are $4 for adults (ages 12 and up) and $2 for kids (ages 3-12). Regular cost for non-members is $8 for adults and $4 for kids.
    Thanksgiving Brunch at the Crowne Plaza
    Serving fare from an omelet and carving stations to delicious Thanksgiving favorites…the Crowne Plaza is the perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends.

    RIVUE Thanksgiving

    Thanksgiving Racing at Churchill
    Bring your family to Churchill Downs and be a part of a long-standing tradition that celebrates great racing with a traditional Thanksgiving feast! From reserved box seats to premium dining reservations, a variety of ticket options are offered.

    Ben Palmer's Picture Show at The Bard's Town
    The creator of "Customer Service / Hope That Helps," Ben Palmer presents stock photography with his own twisted perspective. You'll also see humorous interactions with companies, police departments, farm Facebook pages, as well as the sharp responses to entitled customers on company Facebook pages.

    Family Day Open House at American Printing House for the Blind
    Searching for something uniquely Louisville to show friends and relatives visiting for Thanksgiving? Bring them to APH's one-of-a-kind museum! Visitors can write their names in braille, see a excerpt from Helen Keller's Bible, play games and read books designed for children who are blind, and enjoy many other activities in this award-winning museum. See "Denver the Guide Dog," a Discovery Channel video about how a puppy becomes a dog guide and is matched with a new owner. Holiday goodies and hot cider will be served. For all ages.

    The Ugly Sweater Run
    Don we now our worst apparel! Run, walk or prance your way through a winter wonderland of holiday inflatables, music, hot chocolate and even some nice beverages for those folks over 21. Bring your holiday best in sweater form as Best Ugly Sweater, Best Kids Sweater and Best Pet Sweater are dished out with some great prizes.

    The English Beat
    The English Beat rushed on to the music scene in 1979. It was a time of social, political, and musical upheaval and The Beat injected messages of love and unity, set to a great dance beat that crossed over fluidly between soul, pop and punk. The band toured the world with such artists as David Bowie, The Police, REM, The Clash, Talking Heads, The Pretenders, and The Specials.

    Christmas at the Galt House
    The Galt House is completely transformed into a Winter Wonderland! Come witness the magic first hand and check out any and all of our holiday events including a Gingerbread House Contest, Santa's Sleigh Green Screen Experience, Pam Tillis and Friend's Dinner Show, Dancing Bellman and so much more!

    Light Up Louisville
    Light Up Louisville has been a tradition for more than three decades for thousands of residents and visitors to our city. For its 34th year, the city’s annual celebration launching the holiday season is expanding and returning to 4th Street, creating a four-block festival of lights set to music between the Galt House and Fourth Street Live.

    Christmas Tree Lane at Waterfront Park
    Celebrate the holidays by visiting Christmas Tree Lane and purchasing your tree and holiday greenery at Waterfront Park. Trees and greenery selections will include Scotch Pine, White Pine, Frazier Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglass Fir, and Spruce varieties from North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nova Scotia and Vermont. Other items include wreaths, door charms, small trees, and garland. Christmas Tree Lane is located on both sides of Witherspoon Street between Preston and Floyd Street. Free parking is available for customers along Witherspoon Street, in the Green Parking Lot at Waterfront Park (underneath 1-64 overpass near corner of River Road & Preston), and in the surface parking lot across from the Great Lawn.

    "H.M.S. Pinafore" at Actors Theatre
    Join Chicago theatre renegades The Hypocrites on the high seas—or, in this case, at a slumber party full of pajama-clad sailors—in their playful reimagining of the popular Gilbert and Sullivan classic. Joseph, the Captain’s son, falls for lowly sailor Ralphina Rackstraw…but duty demands that he marry the lofty Admiral Dame Jo-Ann instead! Replete with guitars, ukuleles, and reversed gender roles, this comic tale of love, intrigue, and social satire comes to life as you’ve never seen it before.
