Pre-Feast Fitness Fest
Imagine sitting down to your Thanksgiving meal knowing you’ve earned the right to gobble up every sweet and savory calorie. Get that guilt-free feeling by taking advantage of the JCC’s Pre-Feast Fitness Fest. The Fest is a sampler platter of the JCC’s five most popular group fitness classes served up in back-to-back 30-minute portions for two hours straight. How many servings you consume is up to you. You could take the same class four times in a row, try four different classes, or just take in one or two half-hour workouts.

Family Day Open House at American Printing House for the Blind
Searching for something uniquely Louisville to show friends and relatives visiting for Thanksgiving? Bring them to APH's one-of-a-kind museum! Visitors can write their names in braille, see a excerpt from Helen Keller's Bible, play games and read books designed for children who are blind, and enjoy many other activities in this award-winning museum. See "Denver the Guide Dog," a Discovery Channel video about how a puppy becomes a dog guide and is matched with a new owner. Holiday goodies and hot cider will be served. For all ages.

The Ugly Sweater Run

The English Beat
The English Beat rushed on to the music scene in 1979. Light Up Louisville
Light Up Louisville has been a tradition for more than three decades for thousands of residents and visitors to our city. For its 34th year, the city’s annual celebration launching the holiday season is expanding and returning to 4th Street, creating a four-block festival of lights set to music between the Galt House and Fourth Street Live.

Christmas Tree Lane at Waterfront Park
Celebrate the holidays by visiting Christmas Tree Lane and purchasing your tree and holiday greenery at Waterfront Park. Trees and greenery selections will include Scotch Pine, White Pine, Frazier Fir, Balsam Fir, Douglass Fir, and Spruce varieties from North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nova Scotia and Vermont. Other items include wreaths, door charms, small trees, and garland. Christmas Tree Lane is located on both sides of Witherspoon Street between Preston and Floyd Street. Free parking is available for customers along Witherspoon Street, in the Green Parking Lot at Waterfront Park (underneath 1-64 overpass near corner of River Road & Preston), and in the surface parking lot across from the Great Lawn.
