    1. Attend the First Friday Trolley Hop

The First Friday Trolley Hop is one of the five things families should do in Louisville in 2014. Explore main and market without having to stop your car every five seconds and find a parking space. Just make sure you're bundled up!

    2. Go to the Speed Art Museum's NuLu location for "We'll Wear a Jolly Crown"

You could totally incorporate attending this opening into your trolley hop weekend. The new exhibit "explores the idea of existence" and is opening tonight, so go check it out.

    3. Check out El Taco Luchador

From the creators of Mussel & Burger Bar and Guaca Mole, check out the "cursed" location that used to house Little Cheezers. If anyone can make it happen, it's the Martinez dream team. Initial reviews rave about the affordable taqueria.

    4. See the Pirates of Penzance at Actors Theatre

Classic story, hilarious cast: check out Louisville.com's preview here. I always like to see Actors Theatre plays the first weekend they're open, the cast always seems so much more zesty and excited.

    5. Attend an Evening With Downton Abbey at this Brennan House

Downton Abbey is premiering its fourth season this Sunday, and the historic Brennan house is hosting a fabulous party. Dress up in period costume, watch the premier, and feel swanky.
