This Saturday Seven Sense Festival will take over Preston Street in front of local music venues, The New Vintage and Zanzabar. This will be the second running of the festival that at it's core is a benefit for Boys & Girls Haven. With the ideal combinations of music, drinks, food, and art this street festival is one you don’t want to miss and here’s why.
1. FREE and All Ages
Seven Sense is free and for everyone! Well, almost everyone. Our four legged friends aren’t invited to this one, but all other two-legged friends are welcome to join the shindig.
2. Live Music
With over 20 bands performing on four different stages there is bound to be something for everyone. The New Vintage and Zanzabar will provide two indoor stages. The Courier Journal and Larceny Bourbon will sponsor two outdoor stages. The bands to play the festival are a mix of our very own and some out of town folks. Quiet Hollers, Graffiti, 1200, Black Birds of Paradise, and Billy Goat Strut Review are amongst our local favorites to perform Saturday. Check out the line-up below for the full list of bands.
3. Craft Beer and Spirits
It’s not a festival without drinks and Seven Sense is representing more than 15 craft breweries and spirits. The fest is also selling tickets for a tequila tasting provided by Lunazul and a bourbon tasting featuring Larceny, Evan Williams, and Elijah Craig. Both tastings include a guided tasting of Heaven Hills Distilleries, Inc.
4. Local Food and Art
Music, check. Drinks, check. Food and Art, also check. Seven sense will feature a variety of vendors for you to peruse and taste. Some of these delicious vendors include, Dragon King’s Daughter, El Taco Luchador, and Tasty Tuxedo Treats.
Seven Sense Festival is this Saturday, August 22. All festivities begin at noon. For more information visit their website.
