A night of music and comedy from Floyd Central is to be had at the New Albany Amphitheater this Saturday night.

The Floyd Central music and comedy will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, at the New Albany Amphitheater, just off of Main Street and by the river in New Albany. The event is free, but be advised to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit.

In the first part of the night, FCHS will perform pioneer-style songs in Rivertown Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. Songs to be staged include Oh Susanna, Dow to the River to Pray, and selections from the musical Big River.

In part two, the performance will include more contemporary Broadway musical numbers.

The Floyd Central performance is only one to take place at New Albany's riverfront this summer. According to the amphitheater concert schedule, other groups to have shows will include Music Theatre Louisville, The Marlins, The Rumors, Louisville Ballet, and a Celtic festival with The BeerMats and Dublin.
