Sisters try to hold on to whatever future they may have despite obsticles in the production Crimes of the Heart, which will run at Floyd Central High School this weekend.
Crimes of the Heart will run on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., and Oct. 1 and 2 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. All shows will go in the Studio One theatre on Floyd Central High School's campus, located at 6575 Old Vincennes Road in Floyds Knobs, IN.
Tickets for each evening show are $10 for adults and $6 for students. All tickets for the matinee shows are $6 per person. Due to limited seating, reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the box office at 812-542-2284. Keep in mind that Crimes of the Heart contains mature themes and is recommended for those of middle school age and up.
Crimes of the Heart is a comedy-drama centered on three McGrath sisters who are trying to establish futures for themselves while also waiting on news of their grandfather, who is passing away in a hospital.
Lenny, the eldest of the sisters, is seeking marriage, even though she's 30 and facing fewer options for suitors. Middle child Meg, meanwhile, attempts to find direction following a singing career that went nowhere. Also, Babe, the youngest, has just gotten out on bail after initially being jailed for shooting her husband.
Beth Henry created Crimes of the Heart, which will star Taylor Kearschner as Lenny, Laura Duncan as Meg, and Claire Faith as Babe.
Crimes of the Heart is the opener for Floyd Central's Studio One series, which will feature the Neil Simon comedy Fools later in October.
