
To start off the festival weekend in true derby city style, a kickoff party is planned for Friday August 5th
. Party it up with actors, filmmakers and official jurors for the festival at University of Louisville's Floyd Theater on the 3rd Floor. Admission to the kickoff party includes the opening short and feature films, food by Cafe Fraiche and a Brown-Foreman cash bar.
This is the first LGBT film festival in the Louisville area, and it is promising to deliver quite an array of films with a variety of queer perspectives. The Louisville LGBT Film Festival is offering an impressive showing of over 30 films produced in both the United States and abroad.
The 2011 home of the Louisville LGBT Film Festival is the Clifton Center. The Clifton Center is located at is located at 2117 Payne Street.
Admission to Friday's kickoff party is $25.
Tickets for individual showings are priced at $7 for general admission and $5 for students. For film buffs who want to take in as many of the 33 films showing as they like, a Saturday/Sunday pass is available for $60. To view unlimited films and enjoy the kickoff party, a $75 bundle is also available.
