    Print this page

Jayden Thai is currently conducting a research project under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Budge as part of their doctoral program, collaborating with Kentucky Health Justice Network.

The aim of this project is assess the healthcare access and barriers of transgender individuals in Kentucky (including but not limited to people who identify as transgender male/transman, transgender female/transwoman, genderqueer, stealth, binary, non-binary).

To qualify for the study, participants must identify as transgender, have sought/received healthcare services in Kentucky, and are over the age of 18. Participation involves completing an online questionnaire that will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

The information collected may or may not benefit you directly; however, you will have the opportunity to reflect on experiences with accessing healthcare. Some people may find this to be helpful. Additionally, the information learned in this study may be helpful to others in understanding how transgender individuals access healthcare in Kentucky. This could lead to important applications in public health services and social justice advocacy.

It is important that the research reflects the wide range of identities and experiences of those who have sought/received healthcare in Kentucky, so it is strongly encouraged that the participation of individuals who are often left out of other studies, e.g., those who live stealth and people with non-binary identities.

If you are interested in being a part of this study, you can complete the questionnaire at the below link.
