Louisville Film Society is hosting a star-worthy Oscar Party this Sunday at their new location, 1536 Lytle Street, showcasing lots of love for all things Kentucky including Italian-America cuisine in honor of those “American Hustle” fan and moon pies for those “Gravity” lovers out there.
The benefit will celebrate Kentucky stars Jennifer Lawrence in “American Hustle” (10 nods, including Best Supporting Actress) and George Clooney in “Gravity” (10 nods), as well as the LFS’s upcoming season, which is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movie “Goldfinger.”
From their press release:
“The 7-year old Louisville Film Society will showcase this fundraiser with complimentary locally grown food by Farm to Fork, locally brewed beer by BBC and West Sixth Brewery (Lexington), crafty cocktails sponsored by Republic National Distribution, party design sponsored by The Events Company, and amazing auction prizes; “American Hustle” memorabilia, package of locally produced documentaries and other enticing entertaining items! Guests will also have the opportunity to view the new “IT” space and architectural renderings plus learn how they too can be involved in SHOWBIZ!”
The Oscars are on Sunday, March 2nd. Red carpet for the event begins at 7 p.m., and the broadcast will begin promptly at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 a person, and can be purchased through Eventbrite. Each ticket includes a year’s membership to the Louisville Film Society. The event is being hosted by WHAS11’s Angie Fenton and is guaranteed to be a show stopping night.
