Angel McCoughtry had another very good outing while Shoni Schimmel didn’t get off the bench in the Atlanta Dream’s only game of the past week.

Here’s a closer look at how the two former University of Louisville stars, who are now standouts for the Dream, did in the fourth week of the WNBA season.

McCoughtry tallied a team-high 18 points in Atlanta’s 72-69 win over visiting Washington last Friday night.

She was 7 for 18 from the field, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range, and 3 for 5 from the free throw line while also grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out three assists, recording three steals and committing seven turnovers in 32 minutes before fouling out.

So far this season McCoughtry is averaging 20.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists in the Dream’s first 10 games.

Meanwhile Schimmel didn’t play, receiving the dreaded “DNP Coach’s Decision” in Atlanta’s win over the Mystics.

Schimmel is averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists through the Dream's first 10 games.

Atlanta (4-6), which is in last place in the Eastern Conference, next hosts Seattle on Sunday afternoon and Tulsa at 8 p.m. Tuesday night. The latter game will be televised on ESPN2.

McCoughtry and Schimmel, meanwhile, are both among the leading vote-getters for the WNBA All-Star game. McCoughtry ranks second among all Eastern Conference frontcourt players while Schimmel is second among guards according to the early returns of the WNBA All-Star Balloting, presented by Boost Mobile, released Thursday.

McCoughtry, with 4,225 votes, trails only Indiana’s Tamika Catchings (5,558) in the voting for the three frontcourt spots in the starting lineup.

Meanwhile Schimmel, with 4,419 votes, is second among Eastern Conference guards. Chicago star Elena Delle Donne leads all Eastern Conference players with 10,589 votes.

The WNBA will announce the All-Star starters during an ESPN telecast of ‘SportsCenter’ on Tuesday, July 14. Reserves will be announced a week later during ESPN2’s telecast of a game between the Phoenix Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks.

The 2015 Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star Game will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25 in Uncasville, Conn. It will be televised on ESPN. Schimmel is the game’s reigning MVP. She scored 29 points and had eight assists in leading the East to a 125-124 overtime win over the West in last year’s game.

Voting for the All-Star game continues on wnba.com, the WNBA App, Twitter and Facebook.
