    Veteran actor and director Cy Webber has passed away.

    Webber was a fixture in the local theatre scene, performing and/or directing with many companies in the area, including Clarksville Little Theatre, Young Hearts Theatre, Wayward Actors Theatre Company, and Derby Dinner Playhouse.

    At Clarksville Little Theatre, Webber was artistic director for 14 years. Directing credits at the theatre included A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Little Mary Sunshine, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Barefoot in the Park, The Fantasticks, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Plaza Suite.

    His most recent production was at Clarksville Little Theatre in a featured role. The production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, closed on May 15. According to his cast bio, he was set to direct a play for Young Hearts Theatre in the fall.

    Family, friends, and admirers of Webber can take part in a memorial celebration for Webber at Clarksville Little Theatre, which continues until 4 p.m. today, May 29.
