Games are fun until someone dies. In time for Halloween, Derby Dinner Playhouse will present A Party to Murder beginning tonight.

All performances of A Party to Murder will take place at the Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Drive in Clarksville, IN. Performances will take place on all days except Mondays from tonight, October 6, until November 14.

Performances in the evenings will take place at 7:45 p.m., Sunday matinees will take place at 1:30 p.m., and Wednesday matinees will take place at 1 p.m. each day. Doors and the buffet will open approximately an hour and 45 minutes before the show.

Ticket prices, which include the buffet and the show, depend on the day. Friday evening shows are $40, Saturday evening shows are $43, and all other evening shows are $39 per person. Sunday matinee shows, meanwhile, are $35 per person, and Wednesday matinees are $34 per person. Ticket information can be found at the Derby Dinner website.

In A Party to Murder, guests have arrived at a cottage on a remote island to partake in a murder mystery during Halloween weekend. At first, it's all fun and games. Then, the first person dies, then another. Complicating matters further are ghosts who haunt the game, which has become a real mystery.

Marcia Kash and Douglas E. Hughes created A Party to Murder, and Bekki Jo Schneider directd it. The cast features Janet Essenpreis, Melissa Combs, David Myers, Tina Jo Wallace, J.R. Stuart, and Cary Wiger.

During A Party to Murder's run, the Footnotes will perform approximately a half-hour before all performances except Wednesday matinees. The buffet, meanwhile, will consist of Derby fried fish, Derby fried chicken, carved roast beef Au Jus (evening shows only), beef stroganoff (matinees only), vegetables, and a salad bar.

More information on the show can be found at the Derby Dinner website.
