    13th Annual Brush, Bottle and Barrel of the Bluegrass
    This exciting event offers gourmet hors d’oeuvres, music, drinks, and fabulous art all at one fun-filled soirée. Since it began over a decade ago, Legal Aid’s signature event has raised over $450,000 to benefit our mission of providing free legal services to Kentuckians in poverty.

    Live Music with Strive
    Louisville Salt Cave and Strive are joining to combine the healing properties of the Louisville Salt Cave with the added benefit of live, acoustic, guided relaxation to music with Strive's Nina Rodahaffer and Cheyenne Mize. This event will give twelve individuals the chance to take 45 minutes to actively engage their senses and help to reduce their level of stress and anxiety with lasting effects.

    The Down Syndrome of Louisville Gallop Gala
    Raise money for families touched by Down Sydrome at this annual gala. This event will feature complimentary cocktails and dinner, followed by a live auction and performance by Nashville-based band Paul Childers and The Black Tie Affair.

    Waterfront Jam
    This is one night of Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville that you won’t want to miss. This live entertainment event, presented by the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign, will include live music on two stages at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville featuring over 30 local and regional bands and 7 national acts beginning April 28.

    This event is one of Louisville’s most beloved family traditions. The multi-race docket gives spectators young and old more chances to take in the exhilarating view of boundless colors and shapes.

    Kentucky Derby Festival Academic Challenge
    The Academic Challenge Presented by Sullivan University represents a great opportunity for students from all over the county to test their acumen by answering questions pertaining to math, science, social studies, language arts and humanities.  The competition will feature 28 teams from local elementary schools and a total of 300 students.  The top four schools will receive trophies, with the champion and runner-up also receiving monetary awards.

    Indiana Frontier Experience

    Minecraft in a Movie Theatre
    Your gamers will play, collaborate and socialize on teams with 4-7 members their own age as they build, battle and use their creativity and imagination. Minecraft encourages teamwork and helps develop skills like reading, organization, planning and problem solving.

    Kentucky Muscle NPC Derby Championship
    The 2016 NPC Derby Festival Championships is a fitness, figure, swimwear and bodybuilding competition featuring amateurs and pro athletes from across the country.

    The Louisville Quest! – Highlands Route
    This is an exciting sight-seeing tour, scavenger hunt & race, all rolled into one. Our Highlands Route starts at the gazebo in Willow Park, and explores the fun locations along Bardstown Road in the Highlands. Each team uses a phone app to score the highest amount of points before time runs out. All Quests end with an award ceremony where teams compare notes, enjoy refreshments, and the top teams earn token awards.

    Jockey Pat Day at A Taste of Kentucky
    Legendary Jockey Pat Day is scheduled to autograph barrel heads at this event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Mom’s Closet Resource Center.

    Volunteer Trail Ranger Training
    Love to hike at Bernheim? Want to help our trails to stay safe and beautiful? Join our group of volunteer Trail Rangers! Being a trail ranger is one of the easiest ways to give back to Bernheim. Timing is flexible – just come out for a hike any time during our regular hours – and hike a trail of your choosing. Along the way, check for any conditions that make the trail less safe and report those back to our staff. That’s it! This training will demonstrate the best ways to report on trail conditions, as well as how to read Bernheim’s trail maps and more.

    20,000 ducks will be launched into the Ohio River at this event for a chance for someone to win a brand new Nissan Versa courtesy of Swope Family of Dealerships. The event is to benefit the work of Harbor House, supporting adults with disabilities and their families.

    Join members of the FOP Lodge at Taylorsville Lake State Park, Possum Ridge Boat Ramp for a “reel” good time! Winners of the first place prize will win $500 (based on minimum of 50 boats).     or the fourth annual miniFun Run presented by Humana! The miniFun Run gives younger athletes a chance to participate in a fitness event geared specifically towards them.
