“Fairy Tails” is this year’s theme as the Ky Humane Society brings the 15th annual auction and benefit to the Downtown Marriott, Saturday August 16th at 6 pm. It is black-tie optional this year, but the need is as great as ever!

Guests will find both a silent and live auction of over 100 items, with proceeds benefiting the society’s local chapters. Some of the items available for auction include: Two tickets to the Ryder Cup next month at Valhalla Golf Club, a Four Star African safari, beachcfront stay in Belize, autographed Peyton Manning Colts’ jersey and much, much more.

Along with the auctions, for $135 a ticket, guests will enjoy a red carpet valet start to the evening; hors d’oeuvres and open bar, intimate dinner, featured furry animals, and live music performed by Flashpoint.

For those animal lovers who think they have the cutest pet in the world and want to show it off, you will have an opportunity during the live auction to bid on a chance to have your pet on the cover of the 2009 Kentucky Humane Society Calendar.

According to the KHS, “There also will be a special “Golden Ticket” drawing where the lucky winner, drawn from the 100 tickets sold that evening, will have the opportunity to select a live auction item.”

Tickets are still available as well as corporate table sponsorships. Please visit www.kyhumane.org for ticket purchases and more information.
