See a comedy on women's issues and help women around the world.  U of L will present The Vagina Monologues beginning on Thursday.

The Vagina Monologues will take place on Feb. 9, 10, and 11 at 7 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen in the Playhouse, located in the white church building on Cardinal Boulevard between Second and Third Streets.

Tickets for each show are $10 for general admission and $8 for college students with ID.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 502-852-2663 or e-mailing peacc@louisville.edu.

The Vagina Monologues features short comedy skits with women talking about that special area down there.  The show is being put on for V-Day, a global initiative to help end violence against women and girls.  Ticket sales and donations will go to support domestic and sexual violence shelters in Haiti, a country still ravaged by the earthquake of a year and a half ago.

U of L's Prevention, Education and Advocacy on Campus and in the Community, an anti-violence against women group, is sponsoring The Vagina Monologues.

More information on V-Day can be found at the VDay.org website.
