Not sure what your Sunday is looking like, but down at Expo Five there are going to be lots of bands and artists gathering to jam out for a great cause, The Second Annual Randy’s Band Aid for Cancer. The event began as the joined vision of Randy Napier and Mike Mulrooney founder of Shirley's Way. The concert will feature local celebrities, amazing bands and performers, great prizes, live and silent auction items, a dunking booth, and even a bounce house for the kids.
The proceeds from the event will go Shirley’s Way, a local charity that understands the financial pressures that come with a person’s fight against cancer. According to their mission statement, “(Shirley’s Way) to be an extension of the household income and help a single local family per year.” Currently they are supporting the Smothers family as their daughter fights leukemia. Obviously her parents have missed several days of work as she has undergone treatments and countless doctor’s appointments as she struggles to overcome the disease.
