    The Dalai Lama is coming to Louisville May 19 & 20. After His Holiness' public talks check out Ben Sollee's & Friends with Nawang Khechog’s concert benefiting the Drepung Gomang Institute. Drepung Gomang Institute is a

    non-profit organization that offers free enlightening sessions/lessons, given by the monks, that is open to the community. 

    Ben Sollee was born in Lexington, KY and graduated from University of Louisville. Ben Sollee is known for his unique cello techniques and mixing various genres of music. His music varies from bluegrass, contemporary, folk, jazz, R&B and classical. 

    Nawang Khechog, from Tibet, is a flutist and composer. He is the first person from Tibet to be nominated for a Grammy. Nawang Khechog has been a monk for eleven years, studying Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and has lived as a hermit for four years under the Dalai Lama’s guidance.

    The benefit concert is being held on May 20th from 8:00pm-10:30pm at the Brown Theater. Tickets start at $25.00 and all ages are welcome to come.
