We’ve got a HUGE upcoming week of live shows here in town! For location, time and cost, click on the link for each event. Check back at livemusiclou.com after the events for our full reviews.
Monday (3/23) -
This event marks the end of an era for Louisville. Wild and Woolly’s closing and this celebration will certainly be a bittersweet one.
Tuesday (3/24) -
Their song “From Now On” has garnered a lot of recognition in the past year, including a stop on Letterman. Delta Spirit is known for their vivacious live shows, so be ready for some fun at Headliners.
Louisville Orchestra presents Storm Large and Le Bonheur with Teddy Abrams
This mostly seated event at Mercury Ballroom will feature the Louisville Orchestra and Teddy Abrams with a less than traditional act. Storm Large presents her latest release in what will be a fantastic meshing of sounds.
Wednesday (3/25) -
Dr. Dog: Flamingo Hotel Tour with mewithoutYou
Dr. Dog is coming to town! The Mercury Ballroom plays host to this eclectic band. They have ties to a couple of groups in town (see below!) and this is sure to be a party.
Thursday (3/26) -
Houndmouth with Parker Millsap and Twin Limb
Talk about a welcome home. Houndmouth’s newest album, Little Neon Limelight, was just released (3/17) and they are coming home from their tour to celebrate with a sold out crowd at The Brown. Parker Millsap and hometown Twin Limb (first leg of tour openers) are joining them, and I’m crossing my fingers for some other very in-character guest appearances. If you don’t have tickets there are still some sporadic giveaways going on, so jump on that, because this is without question the place to be this week.
Friday (3/27) -
The legend on the keys will perform for an undoubtedly large crowd at the Yum! Center. You can't go wrong with this one.
Nellie Pearl with Blunt Honey and Local Villains
It will be a local takeover at Tim Faulkner Gallery on Friday night. The three bands will all be bringing a different flavor to the Portland area, keeping you entertained throughout the evening.
Jack Holiday & the Westerners, Hounds and Horns, Patson
They're not all from Louisville, but the three groups do hail from Kentucky, and Zanzabar will be bursting with all sorts of rock n' roll sounds.
Saturday (3/28) -
Whitey Morgan and the 78’s with Cody Jinks and Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters
New Albanian Nick Dittmeier and The Sawdusters will bring the local flair to this Headliners show.
