Burlesque is making another come back Friday and Saturday at Baron's Theater with Three Vixens and a Magician, but there's a twist. The show will mix burlesque and music with Magic and humor, thanks to Smerlin Entertainment.

The show will be hosted by The Queen of Magic, Indianapolis performer Andrea Merlyn. Andrea is the character/creation of Taylor Martin, who has been a professional performer for many years since he graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a B.A. in Speech and Theater. He's been seen at Indy Fringe Theatre Festivals, off Broadway, and at Magic Chicago, Bally's, and Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Andrea Merlyn will be joined by three of the Va Va Vixens, dancers from Louisville's most well known burlesque group. The troupe is known for their silly antics, sexy dances and classical burlesque acts. The girls will bring the sexy music and dance, while Andrea brings the humor and magic.

Ray Smerlin, owner of Smerlin Entertainment, has been working with Baron’s Theater to bring magic and variety shows in for several months. The theater was once known as Squirrely’s Magic Tea Room and has been refurbished by the children of the magician who held shows there for 15 years. The result is a beautiful stage with a room that holds about 80-100 people in a comfortable environment, enhanced by vintage posters of famous magicians.  It’s a great setting for vaudeville, burlesque and other live entertainment. Smerlin has also been utilizing it to provide live entertainment for the First Friday Trolley Hops. Baron's Theater is at whiskey Row Lofts, 131 West Main Street. The shows begin at 8:00pm, and doors open at 7:45pm.  Tickets are $20.00 at the door. For ticket information and reservations, call Bearno's at 502-584-7437. Guests will enter through Bearno's By the Bridge.
