Magic, Dinner and Bourbon: An Intimate Experience at Down One
    Print this page

The Down One Bourbon Bar will be the location for an intimate night of privately produced "spell binding entertainment and local cuisine in three courses" in its Speakeasy Room on March 12, 2015 at 7 p.m.  The event will feature Four Roses and is brought to you by Smerlin Entertainment and Richard Darshwood, the Charming Trickster, Himself.

Guests will be able to choose from the menu, which has been carefully created with select options for this intimate experience.  Darshwood is an international illusionist who has performed for stars like Clay Mathews of the Green Bay Packers, Martin Scorsese and Miranda Lambert. He will provide magical entertainment between each course of the meal. Each course will also be paired with a specially blended Four Roses cocktails featuring Four Roses yellow label, small batch and single barrel.

"When we created 'Magic, Dinner & Bourbon' we wanted to offer more than just a magic show," said Darshwood. "We wanted this to be an extraordinarily unique combination of entertainment, local cuisine and premium spirits.  This is an opportunity to showcase not only the best of what I do but what KY does best, too."

Unlike some dinner and entertainment packages, the $65.00 (per person) tickets include taxes and gratuity. The evening is limited to just 14 seats. If the price seems a little steep, you can use the coupon code "FOURROSES" when purchasing the tickets online. Seating begins promptly at 7 p.m. at 321 West Main Street. The event is limited to just 14 guests.

"This kind of entertainment is as intimate as it gets, and it is such a reciprocal pleasure performing in a setting like this," Darshwood added. "This is not the type of magic performed on a stge a million miles away from the audience.  Instead, it all happens in this this one little room.  Just me and a dozen people or so sharing in the awe and wonder.  Each night, I propose a toast to new friends, but, by the close of the show, we all feel like very old friends; it's hard to see the night come to an end."
