Louisville's second annual zombie hike gets a little Wild and Woolly [Family]

Get ready, humans! The Jefferson Memorial Forest is about to look like a scene straight out of The Walking Dead! Louisville's second annual zombie hike is returning on October 13 and is sure to offer more living dead girl (and guy) fun. So, what could possibly be better than staggering through the woods in some killer zombie makeup? Getting a little wild and wooly! That's right, the team from Louisville's own Wild and Woolly Video will be at the zombie hike, celebrating their 15th anniversary with "Wild and Woolly in the Woods."

This fun-filled zombie bash will include an interactive, trivia-filled hike, a costume contest (so be sure to wear your finest zombie attire), prizes, giveaways and a special outdoor screening of the zombie cult classic, Let Sleeping Corpses Lie.

“It’s one of our all-time favorite movies and was one of the first movies we ever had at the store,” said Wild and Woolly owner Todd Brashear. “At the time, it was really hard to find and we rented it a lot. It seemed like a good choice for this event: a zombie movie that was part of our early history, but also somewhat obscure, which is what we’ve built our reputation on.”

As we all know, the living dead have an insatiable appetite. Luckily, the good folks at Taco Punk and BBC will be in attendance, serving up locally crafted beer, fresh gourmet tacos, and other food items for purchase.

Wild and Woolly in the Woods is free, but parking at Jefferson Memorial Forest is $5. Zombies and guests must be 18 or older to participate and no outside food or beverages are permitted. The festivities will kick off at 7 PM.

So, get creative, have fun, and help celebrate Wild and Woolly's 15-year milestone with "Wild and Woolly in the Woods" on October 13. For more information call 502-368-5404 or visit http://www.memorialforest.com.
