Are you tired of all that critical thinking, truth, and progress in your comedy?

If you have no stomach for the rhetoric of logic that comes forth from centrist comics like Lewis Black and Jon Stewart – or the liberal vitriol of Bill Maher or Janeane Garofolo - then you aren’t going to want to miss the Conservative Comedy Night with Mark Kline at The Laughing Derby.  The show is brought to you by local radio station 970 AM The Answer.  Headliner Mark Kline is a locally based, nationally touring comedian, who is uproariously funny, completely inoffensive, and ultra-conservative.  Kline has performed on CBS, NBC, and Showtime spewing his practical, down-home observations with that special brand of Louisville charm that we all know and love.

The show won’t be a beat-up session on liberals, but rather Kline relies on the wit of logic and reason to deconstruct the walls of the world that is surrounding him with every passing day.  It’s a lot of good, clean social commentary without the expletive flourishes.

970 AM The Answer presents “Conservative Comedy Night w/ Mark Kline.”  Tuesday August 25th at 7:15 PM, and tickets are available for $15.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
