Andrew Norelli is a name you might not know unless you find yourself following the inner-sanctum of modern stand-up comedy.  You may have seen him around on late night television, but he hasn’t taken off yet to a point where you may have noticed…unless you’ve listened to his material.  He is witty, charming, and endlessly fun, wrapping the audience around his finger as soon as he takes up the microphone.

With numerous late night appearances including “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Andrew Norelli is a comic who has an almost deadpan delivery and strong smart material that boils with wit and sharp intelligence. His other TV appearances include Comedy Central's “Live at Gotham,” and the nationally syndicated comedy round-table “Comics Unleashed,” where he also worked as a monologue joke writer. Andrew's natural charisma and cunning material have won audiences over at comedy festivals around the world. He won the first annual Las Vegas World Series of Comedy, he also took second place at the Boston Comedy Festival, and his performance at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal was warmly received in Time Out New York.  He's charmed audiences at Sydney’s Comedy Store and Laugh Garage where The Daily Telegraph raved about his performance.

Norelli is going to be performing this weekend at The Laughing Derby in Mid-City Mall.  Starting Thursday August 13th-15th he will be headlining five shows (one on Thursday and two on Friday & Saturday).  Tickets are still available for $12-$15 – all early shows begin at 7: 15 PM, and late shows on Friday and Saturday will begin at 10:00 PM.  Miguel Dalmau will also be on the show.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
