    Magic Hat Brewery from Vermont
    Westport Whiskey and Wine
    1115 Herr Lane, Suite 140
    Aug. 7, 6:30 p.m.
Sample some of the United States' best domestic beers from Vermont's Magic Hat Brewery, including #9 and Roxy Rolles at Westport Whiskey and Wine. The cost is $5.

    Heirloom Tomato Dinner
    Winston's
    3101 Bardstown Road
    Aug. 7 and 8, 6:45 p.m.
Apparently the 2009 tomato harvest was bountiful: Winston's is offering a seven-course heirloom tomato dinner (.pdf) both nights this weekend. The cost is $55 per person or $75 with wine parings (four glasses, probably not of tomato wine). Tax and gratuity are extra. For reservations, call 502-456-0980.

    Rooftop concert
    Glassworks
    815 W. Market St.
    Aug. 7, 8 p.m.
I know nothing about the bands playing (Invaders, D. Rider, Buffalo Bill and Ben Purdom), but I do know that a beautiful evening on Glasswork's rooftop is worth a $7 cover. (Via Backseat Sandbar)

    Harold and Kumar Go...near...White Castle
    Location on a need-to-know basis
    Aug. 8, 9 p.m.
Apparently White Castle banned the Go Go Guerrilla army from showing this movie in its parking lot. You'll find out the secret location after you RSVP, but it will be in full view of where America's royalty dines.
