Yesterday... All my troubles seemed so far away...

It was announced yesterday that Paul McCartney is postponing his much-anticipated Louisville concert from June to October due to illness. McCartney contracted a virus in May while performing in Asia and was hospitalized in Tokyo. Though he has since been released, McCartney announced that he will be taking his doctor's advice and resting for the month of June. His "New" tour is set to resume in July. The Louisville concert will now take place on October 28; all tickets with June dates will be honored at the KFC Yum! Center.

Though the postponement is disappointing, this actually puts Louisville in a great position. The KFC Yum! Center will be the last show on this tour. Every time I have been to the last show of a tour, the musicians pull out all the stops to end on a good note (no pun intended), which should make this concert very special and unique. Plus, if you're a teacher like me, it gives you something to look forward to when you come back from fall break!

But that's not all! There's another reason to be happy instead of sad! Abbey Road on the River announced yesterday that a special "Paul-themed" festival is being organized and will take place the weekend before Paul McCartney's rescheduled concert (October 24-26). According to Abbey Road on the River's Facebook page, the venue and the bands are still being booked, but tickets will go on sale with Abbey Road On the River 2015 early bird tickets on July 4.

What a whirlwind of announcements for Louisville

Beatle fans! It took me a day to wrap my head around them all, but I am even more excited than I already was!
