Paul McCartney’s rescheduled October 28th concert is slowly creeping toward us, which means that Abbey Road on the River’s welcoming party is too!

Since my last update on To Sir With Love (available here), much has transpired.

All tickets are now on sale starting at just $29 for general admission. Packages are even available for both the October and May events.

Abbey Road on the River has also announced a new guest! Terry Sylvester of the Hollies will perform throughout the weekend. According to Abbey Road on the River’s Facebook page, Terry Sylvester along with Peter Asher, Denny Laine, and Laurence Juber, will also host a panel discussing their history with Paul McCartney. Sylvester grew up in Liverpool near Paul McCartney, and often opened for the Beatles at the Cavern Club with the band The Swinging Blue Jeans (before replacing Graham Nash in the Hollies). Peter Asher roomed with McCartney and recorded one of his compositions “A World Without Love.” Denny Laine and Laurence Juber both performed with McCartney in Wings.

On their Facebook page, Abbey Road on the River also made an announcement about Tuesday’s pre-party before McCartney’s concert at the KFC Yum! Center. The party will take place on the Belvedere. The Rigbys and the Nick Peay Band are set to perform along with others. From 2pm until the concert starts, come and “tailgate” for the show!

To Sir With Love will take place October 24th – 26th and the 28th at the Galt House and Belvedere. For specific times and ticketing information, visit Abbey Road on the River’s website. “Like” Abbey Road on the River on Facebook, and check back with Louisville.com for more updates!
