Despite the grand efforts of the fine people at The Fun Star, who represent the likes of Alabama Shakes, Amos Lee, and Fiona Apple, I was unable to connect with James prior to last night’s show opening for Tame Impala. Never heard of White Demin you say? Shame on you, I say!
In support of their 6th studio effort, Corsicana Lemonade, White Denim invades Louisville tonight and will be joined by Nerves Junior. Describing their sound is a bit tough as some of the new album sounds like Lenny Kravitz got beat up by The Allman Brothers, while some sounds like Phish got a beat down by The Clash.
Either way the finished product is spectacular and from what I’ve heard, out of a valid source in Brooklyn, the live shows are no less than mind blowing. I can only speculate that they’re starting their tour here because of our level of awesomeness so let’s not let them down! Tickets are still available below and unless you don’t get out much, you know Zanzabar is a very intimate venue, so let’s blow it out tonight people. As the thousands of you know I’m always right, and have yet to let down most of you, so don’t say I didn’t try to warn you.
