So enough of my bitching about the Groupon situation as I had an enlightening conversation with a local music aficionado, Better Days guru, and friend Randell Bolton who really set it straight.  Arcade Fire has gone with Louisville to kick off their global tour and the market is a bit pressed to support a sell out in such a large venue.  More tushes in seats the better, no matter the method.  That being said, I hope those of us lucky enough to go get weird, dress up in costumes, bang drumsticks on helmets, and have the wicked time I guarantee you will.

Having the fortune to see them in their first 'large venue' setting, as I previously bragged about, at Madison Square Garden in 2010 I'm a spoiled brat.  In only my 3rd appearance in the Yum! Center (holla Beyonce but maybe not Brad Paisley, no offense) I'm being blessed with checking out the new material in a comparable setting as the last time I was able to catch them.  From what I've seen on the late night circuit and certainly as expected, they're delivery is tight and flawless.  You're man and lead singer Win Butler likes to get in with the crowd which is always rowdy fun.  Earlier in their career as global indie superstars, they once all came in through the main entrance of a church in SoHo (NYC) and it was the one of the most acoustically electric experiences I've ever seen.

No matter how you get your tickets for tonight, get them.  I know it's festival season and it ain't no thang but a chicken wing for Forecastle, I see you, but I hear you can score a ticket pretty reasonably.  You can still get GA tickets which I'd recommend and, being such a respected music journo, find the most appropriate link below.

Hope to see you there in drag, furbies, whoreaween costumes, or however you want to roll.
