    Anchal Project Holiday Trunk Show

    Louisville Mashed Bourbon Appreciation
    Join Louisville Mashed for its inaugural bourbon appreciation event! Entry includes all tastings, samples from our partners, and some light nibbles. Guests can enter a bottle into a blind tasting competition or sample bourbon from many of the best distillers in the state including Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark, Evan Williams, and Angel’s Envy.

    March of the Dimes Signature Chefs Auction 
    Louisville's Signature Chefs Auction raises funds for the March of Dimes whose mission is to support lifesaving research and education programs that will help end the heartbreak of premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. Restaurants participating in 2015 include Jack Fry's, Varanese, Vincenzo's and Marketplace at Theater Square. This upscale event features top local chefs as they excite your palate and an auction which serves to support the March of Dimes.

    Festival of Trees & Lights
    For this event hosted by the Children's Hospital Foundation, hundreds of volunteers design and decorate Christmas trees, wreaths and hand crafted holiday items - all of which are for sale to raise funds for Kosair Children's Hospital.The Festival of Trees & Lights is a volunteer-based organization under the auspices of the Children's Hospital Foundation that creates awareness, raises funds and affirms the role of Kosair Children's Hospital in the lives of the children of our community.

    Ninth Annual Ladies Day at the Races
    Help support the Backside Learning Center, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of equine workers at Churchill Downs, by attending the ninth annual Ladies Day at the Races. The event will take place on Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs on Friday, Nov. 13 from 11:30 am until the last race. Guests will enjoy a lunch buffet, silent auction, and fashion show. The cost is $75 per person or $500 for a table of eight. Both men and women are welcome at this event.

    Ben Folds

    The Commissioner's Cup: A Celebration of Kentucky Wines
    The Kentucky Winery Association and the Kentucky Grape and Wine Council present the 2015 Commissioner's Cup, a celebration of Kentucky wines. This evening will honor the 2015 competition winners and celebrate the proud wine craft in the state. Admission to this event will include a cocktail hour where attendees will taste the winning wines and enjoy a variety of the Gold Medal Awarded wines from the competition. The tasting will be followed by dinner and awards presentation.

    The Writer's Block Festival
    The fifth annual Writer’s Block Festival, sponsored by Louisville Literary Arts, features three panel discussions, numerous readings, a print and resource fair, five craft workshops, and a keynote reader: Adam Johnson, the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for his novel The Orphan Master’s Son.

    Louisville Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5k
    The Arthritis Foundation's long running Jingle Bell Run is a festive race that helps champion arthritis research and brings people from all walks of life together. Whether you prefer to walk or run, wear your ugly Christmas sweater or tie jingle bells to your shoes.

    Holiday in the Woods at the Little Loomhouse
    Holiday in the Woods will be an evening of art, music, food, and merriment at the Little Loomhouse! Local artists will display and sell their work at our open house event where you’re sure to find that perfect holiday gift. Tour the Little Loomhouse, weave your own souvenir, and shop for beautiful local art and handmade gifts in the gift shop. Parking will be available at DeSales High School, with Shuttle service to the Little Loomhouse. This event is free and open to the public.

    Tenth Annual Candle Glow Gala
    From dress, to décor, to desserts--the 2015 Hosparus Candle Glow Gala will be a black and white affair. In its tenth year, this signature black-tie fundraiser helps ensure the long-term viability of hospice care in the Louisville community. The gala features a premium open bar, an elegant dinner, as well as silent and live auctions. The event will also feature an awards presentation, honoring those in the community who have had a lasting effect on hospice care. For after-dinner dancing during the Glow Lounge portion of the event, music will be performed by Nashville’s The Respectables.

    Kentucky Opera Presents: "Three Decembers"
    "Kentucky Opera continues its eclectic mix this season by following up Giuseppe Verdi's 'Macbeth' with a contemporary opera by American composer Jake Heggie. This is the first-time Kentucky Opera has staged Heggie's 'Three Decembers,' which made its debut in 2008 with the Houston Opera.
