    Motown Christmas | The Kentucky Center

    Recapture your Christmas spirit this holiday season! Join the celebration with Rush Trowel & Faith Works Studios’ Motown Christmas! Motown Christmas features beautiful renditions of iconic secular and sacred holiday songs you know and love, with live performances by a sensational cast of singers and dancers, as well as the remarkable 5-piece Motown Christmas Band. Motown Christmas promises to be one of your most memorable Christmas treats this holiday season!

    CirqueLouis Presents: Pinocchio | The Kentucky Center

    Based on Carlo Collodi's timeless classic, the story of Pinocchio follows the mischievous adventures of an animated marionette along his journey to becoming a real boy. CirqueLouis' acrobats, aerialists, dancers and jugglers bring this Italian fairytale to life, circus style! Accompanied by an all classical score, Pinocchio is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

    Mile Wide Beer Company Grand Opening

    Mile Wide Beer Co. will open its doors to the public this Friday! They'll be featuring five of their new beers on draft, and Red Top Gourmet Hot Dogs and Black Rock Grille will be set up outside. Come celebrate as Mile Wide becomes the newest addition to Louisville's growing and thriving craft beer scene!

    David Sedaris' "Santaland Diaries" | The Alley Theater

    The Santaland Diaries is David Sedaris' hilarious send-up of his brief, misguided career as a Macy's elf. The show skewers our sentimental love of all things Christmas such as the happy children, the spritely elves, the gifts, the good cheer. Sedaris' character, Crumpet the Elf, shows us the other side of what it's like to work at Santaland, and the result is bawdy and irreverent, but always fun.

    Silver Spoons | The New Vintage

    This three piece indie pop-rock band hails from Louisville and is comprised of Gabe Riggs on guitar, keys, and vocals, Luke Lyons on bass and Jordan Smith on drums. In fall 2015, Silver Spoons released the high-energy single Falling In Love, showing a more mature and modern sound from the band. They are currently recording a follow-up EP.

    Geminid Meteor Shower Program | Jefferson Memorial Forest

    Spend an evening trying to spot shooting stars whizzing overhead with one of Jefferson Memorial Forest's naturalists. The Geminids are considered of one the best meteor showers of the year. A guided cosmic hike will also be available! There will be hot chocolate and coffee to keep you warm as you gaze at the stars above Louisville. Pre-registration required, call 368-5404.

    Sun Valley Children's Holiday Party | Sun Valley Community Center

    Welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Sun Valley Community Center for some holiday fun! Take a train ride, hop on a carriage ride, decorate cookies, participate in games/activities or check out the dance performance by Steppin' Out, a local entertainment group. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and tell them what's on your wish list for Christmas this year.

    Flea Off Market Holiday Bazaar | Art Sanctuary 

    Come out to Art Sanctuary for a weekend of Holiday Bazaars hosted by Flea Off Market. It's the same Flea Off Market you know and love - with a holiday twist! Explore our numerous local vendors inside a heated, indoor venue. As always, there will be delicious food and drinks available as you browse.

    Free Pancake Breakfast - Sock Drive | The Craft Houses

    This Saturday, both Craft Houses, Crescent Hill and Germantown will be hosting a free pancake and sausage breakfast. All you have to do is bring in a new, unopened package of socks or underwear and the breakfast is FREE. If you don't get up that early, you can still help this great cause. Bring in your packages anytime on Saturday and you will receive half off a beer or one of our Craft Drinks. Come out to the Craft House and help our local homeless who are less fortunate than us.

    Christmas Bazaar and Craft Show | Louisville First Church of the Nazarene

    Looking for a unique Christmas gift? Come out this Saturday for LFC's Christmas Bazaar and Craft show. With over 30 local handmade and direct sales representatives, you're sure to find the perfect gift! Bring the kids for pictures with Santa. Food and snacks will be available.

    Go Santa Go 5K | Iroquois Park

    Kick off the Holiday season with fitness and fun! Get your family and friends to dress up as Santa or one of his elves and participate in the annual Go Santa Go 5k! Every participant will receive his or her choice of a Santa shirt, hat and beard or an Elf shirt and hat to wear while running. Enjoy holiday music, candy, and cookies along the course.

    The Brown-Forman Nutcracker | The Kentucky Center

    Prepare for a magical journey with Marie and her Nutcracker prince to the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy! This classic production features beautiful sets and costumes, unique Louisville touches and the incredible artistry of Louisville Ballet’s dancers. This year’s production features updated magic and sets! The show will feature live music performed by the Louisville Orchestra.

    Santa's Safari | Louisville Zoo

    Santa is making a special stop by the Louisville Zoo, and he’s bringing some of his North Pole friends along too. Be part of Santa’s workshop where elves help families create a wonderful holiday craft. And no visit would be complete without Mrs. Claus serving her famously delicious holiday treats and beverages. Enjoy holiday sing-alongs and complimentary photos with Santa for every child.

    Maker's Mark Candlelight Tours | Maker's Mark Distillery

    Get into the holiday spirit at the Maker’s Mark distillery during the annual Candlelight Tours. Visitors can tour the festively decorated Victorian grounds and 19th-century restored distillery on a self-guided, after-dark tour. In addition to strolling through the distillery, visitors also can enjoy bourbon-inspired cocktails and refreshments.

    Goodwood Xmas Party | Goodwood Brewing

    Dig out your ugliest sweater and get weird with Goodwood this Christmas season! Goodwood is hosting a free, festive party featuring the musical talents of the internationally-ignored superstar, Captain Midnight Band, the world’s only known purveyor of “Waterbed Rock & Roll.” They will also be releasing a new American Stout, with notes of cinnamon and chocolate.

    DECCAdence | Decca

    Oodles of Noodles | Hillbilly Tea
     
    The chefs of Hillbilly Tea, Lawrence Weeks and Keith Jones, will be in collaboration with Against The Grain's Jordan Delewis to host a noodle fundraiser benefiting the restaurant workers displaced in the Tennessee fires. $10 per bowl goes toward helping these folks out. Come have some fun and support a good cause.

    Caroling in the Cave | Marengo Cave

    Come and enjoy the sounds of the season inside of the cave. There will cookies, punch and shopping in the gift shop. Reservations are recommended, but not required. Although the event is free, we are asking for can donations for the local food pantries.

    Dickens Dinner | RIVUE Restaurant & Lounge

    Interfaith Chanukah Party | Jewish Community Center

    People of all faiths are invited to come celebrate the season with food, music and candle lighting. Attendees are asked to bring canned goods and non-perishable food donations, which will be donated to the Janet and Sonny Meyer Food Pantry Fund and the Jewish Family and Career Services Food Pantry. The party is free and no RSVP is needed.

    Rosemary & Time | Frazier History Museum

    In conjunction with White Christmas: The Exhibit, Eve Theatre Company presents "Rosemary and Time" at the Frazier Museum! These cabaret-style performances feature a look back at the hit songs and warm stories that made Rosemary Clooney who she was.
