    The Flea Off Market

    Home to over 200 artists, craftspeople, collectors, start-ups and local businesses of all kinds, The Flea is one of Louisville's favorite places to shop local. Flea patrons can expect to find used books, records, fine arts and crafts, antiques, jewelry, vintage clothing, bath and body products, candles, furniture and homewares, used tools, terrariums, fresh-cut flowers, organic produce and meat, bicycles, tarot readings...there's kinda everything under the sun. The Flea will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend.     Republic Bank First Friday HOP

    The Republic Bank First Friday HOP is an art show, tourist attraction, street party and celebration of downtown Louisville that brings new visitors and new life to the Main and Market corridor. The HOP takes place on the first Friday of each month from 5-11pm, rain or shine, and is free and open to the public. Come check out the awesome culture of Downtown Louisville this Friday!

    Pokémon Go Lure-a-Thon

    Over 50 Poke stops will be activated with lure modules in front of participating Republic Bank August 5th - First Friday HOP event locations, so keep your eye out for some rare Pokémon!

    Member locations will be sharing tips on where and how to power up and find rare Pokémon. There will be street art, vendors, BBQ to benefit the parks, Flea Off, haunted tours, food trucks, music, and more, so bring your appetite and your walking shoes! For those who prefer to escape the heat, there will be free Pokémon Safaris on the air-conditioned Zerobus. Meet up with other Pokémon Go players and catch the bus every hour in front of Zephyr Gallery.

    NuLu Hits the High Notes

    Kentucky Opera is celebrating 65 years of creativity, ingenuity and grand opera tradition with a passport party in the NuLu neighborhood. Celebrate our anniversary with sensational singers and mesmerizing musicians during the First Friday Hop! Pick up your event passport at any participating store or restaurant in NuLu. Then on August 5, you can explore NuLu to find Kentucky Opera performers, singing the best opera and musical theatre tunes from the last 65 years.

    Pokémon Go Barhop in Downtown Louisville

    Catch 'em all while you drink 'em all!
    Everyone is welcome: Gym Leaders, Dedicated Trainers, Newbies, and Hoppers who just want to learn about the game and have some fun. What about those who just want to hang out in lovely Downtown Louisville and enjoy great drink specials while trolley-hopping from stop to stop? They're welcome, too, of course. This will be Louisville’s largest—possibly only—Pokémon GO Barhop to date, so you don't want to miss out. The barhop is go-at-your-own-pace, and Trainers are encouraged to ride the First Friday Trolley Hop that night. Lures will be placed at Pokéstops along the route to help Trainers catch ‘em all, and we won't be skimpy on them. We've also given each bar a Pokémon to concoct a special drink in essence of. Other specials will be announced throughout the week. All sales supports Kentucky STEAM Engine, a local non-profit focused on promoting science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) based initiatives.

    17th Anniversary Art for the Animals

    The 17th Annual Art for the Animals benefit is an art-filled, jazzy event that brings Louisville’s best food, drink and people together to benefit the Shamrock Pet Foundation, Inc.  Featuring a live and silent art auction, this annual event features artwork donated by local, regional and national artists.  We have representation by Louisville’s best-known artists year after year.   Additionally, many of Louisville’s favorite restaurants donate food to the event that will delight your palate while deciding on which art to bid.

    National Oyster Day at River House and Levee

    August 5th is National Oyster Day! Celebrate with River House and Levee, where Chef John Varanese will be serving up oyster and wine specials, as well as presenting three brand new oyster recipes! Patrons can vote on their favorite recipe, and the winning dish will be added to the Levee menu for the rest of August.     The New Vintage Presents Fly Golden Eagle and Graffiti

    Fly Golden Eagle are performing at The New Vintage this Friday! The group’s founder, Ben Trimble, was raised in Detroit with Kentucky roots, and music was always a part of his life, as natural as breathing. Graffiti, the Louisville quintet, will be performing as the opening act. Their energetic rock-psyche-garage blend, with little elements of post-punk and stoner rock, is the perfect complement to Fly Golden Eagle. Come see two great bands for one cover price!

    Louisville Halloween Job Fair

    Like to scare people or just love the Halloween season? The Louisville Halloween Job Fair is the place to go to join the scariest team in town! There are 13 vendors looking for scary people just like you!     Hemp Festival at Locust Grove

    Alice Cooper at the Louisville Palace

    With his influence on rock & roll long since acknowledged, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn't achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.     24th Annual Taste of Frankfort Avenue
