Louisville's International Festival of Film
The 7th Annual Louisville's International Festival of Films (LIFF) welcomes filmmakers and film lovers from around the world to the historic city of Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville offers three days of screenings, educational workshops and open dialogue with savvy audiences in a gorgeous setting. Filmmakers have flown in from Japan, Australia, Dominican Republic and France, just to name a few. Help put Louisville on the map as a film-savvy city and attend this festival!

Swan Lake | Brown Theatre
This world-premiere production brings together Artistic and Executive Director Robert Curran with Louisville visual artist Ryan Daly to create a unique interpretation of the heartbreaking tale of love and betrayal. Classical ballet meets laser-projection technologies to create a Louisville Ballet experience like you’ve never had before.

Cause2Cause | Mellwood Arts Center
Come out to the Mellwood Arts Center this Friday for a free event with multiple vendors selling goods mixed in with multiple charities spreading the word about their missions. There will be great food and free treats from Louisville Chocolate Fountain – how can you resist? The event will be held in Mellwood's Picasso Room.

Zimmerman Glasstoberfest | Zimmerman Art Glass Factory
Celebrate a family tradition of glassmaking and watch a first-hand demonstration at the first annual Zimmerman Glasstoberfest. Witness Kerry and Alex Zimmerman and Joe Rice from House of Glass in Elwood, Indiana perform their craft with elegance. There will be an “Octoberfest” theme, with plenty of food and beer. The Rheingold Band will provide musical entertainment on Friday, and Freemont John will perform on Saturday. The festivities also include a beer garden sponsored by Point Blank Brewing Brewery and art booths.

Old Dominion | Fourth Street Live!
Old Dominion may be best known as a nickname for the Commonwealth of Virginia, but the moniker is set to become synonymous with great country music if the five members of Old Dominion have their way. In today's world of prefabricated bands put together by producers and acts discovered via reality TV, Old Dominion stands out as a group that formed authentically through the members' shared love of music and songwriting. Check them out at Fourth Street Live! this Friday! This event is 21+.

You're The Wurst Sausage Party | Copper & Kings
Copper & Kings hosts this Oktoberfest-style party featuring handmade sausages inspired by the flavors of Germany. There will be music by Prost Band and a Marzen/Oktoberfest-style beer brewed by Marzen/Oktoberfest-style beer brewed by Monnik Beer Co. and aged in a Copper & Kings Brandy barrel.

Same As It Ever Was | Zanzabar
Love The Talking Heads? Same As It Ever Was does it right. This seven-piece outfit of Knoxville musicians came together out of their mutual love and respect for the music of the Talking Heads in the summer of 2004 and have not looked back since. They have nearly the entire Talking Heads catalog at their fingertips, from the excitement and energy of everything from '77 to Naked, and all the B-sides in between.

Wine on the River | Waterfront Park
Come out to Louisville’s 2nd Annual wine tasting event on the beautiful Big Four Lawn at Waterfront Park this Saturday, October 15th, and sample wine from national and international vineyards. This year, the theme is “Around the World,” focusing on cultural regions and the wine, food and beer from each selected area. There will also be live music by the Jimmy Davis Band and Soul Circus.

Night Spirits | Lanier Mansion
Costumed actors will portray spirits telling true stories of 19th-century Desperados, including the famous Reno Gang from Seymour, Indiana, in the rooms of the Lanier Mansion. Groups will depart from the Lanier/Madison Visitor Center at 15-minute intervals for the one-hour tours. Reservations for the desired time are strongly recommended.

Car Audio Championship | Kentucky Expo Center
The Car Audio Championship is coming to Louisville! Come and experience the loudest AND best sounding car stereo systems on the planet as they rock the Broadbent Arena and the Pavilion at the Kentucky Expo Center on October 15-16. The Car Audio Championship is a competition where enthusiasts compete against one another with their car stereo systems. Over 200 vehicles will be on display and competing with their systems in over 50 different formats of competition.

Walk With A Doc | Iroquois Amphitheater
Lace up your walking shoes and get some exercise while having your health questions answered at the same time! Walk with a Doc, hosted by KentuckyOne Health, is part of a nationwide program that empowers people to improve their health through physical activity while they exercise side-by-side with healthcare providers. Celebrate 20 years of quality tattooing in Louisville with the crew at ACME! Tom Cat | Ursuline Arts Center
Tom Cat takes place in 1951 Indianapolis, Indiana and Kincaid County, Mississippi. It was a time of segregation and separation of the races and of an untimely, ill-fated, interracial love triangle. This pre-civil rights story echoes many of the same social ills that plague American society today: racism, classicism, sexism, police brutality, crime and violence. However, ultimately it is a story of love, not just between men and women, but also between fathers and sons on opposite sides of the social spectrum. It is also a story of forgiveness and redemption.
