Come out for the downtown Bardstown Halloween Spooktacular! Black Cat Chase 5K | Downtown Frankfort
The Black Cat Chase 5K Fun Run/Walk is one of the region’s most popular and entertaining races. Fried Chicken Throwdown | ReSurfaced
Sharpen your taste buds and get ready to taste the best Fried Chicken in Town! The Fried Chicken Throwdown is a culinary competition to benefit Slow Food Bluegrass. A cash prize will be available to the winner in each of three categories: Best Fried Chicken, Best Vegetarian Side and Best Dessert. They'll be judged by people's choice. The currency of The Bluegrass Fried Chicken Throwdown will be tickets, and $1 will equal 1 ticket. Tastes will cost 2-3 tickets.

The Filson Historical Society's Grand Opening Celebration
The Filson Historical Society is ready to bring its past together with its future as they prepare to unveil the transformative $12 million Campus Expansion Project in Old Louisville. The project, which includes the renovation of the Ferguson Mansion on Third Street and the completion of the brand new Owsley Brown II History Center on Fourth Street, is connected by an enclosed pedway that passes through the mansion’s carriage house. The Open House will include music, docent-led tours and interpretations, special exhibits, children’s activities and information about continuing programs.

Halloween Parade | Downtown Corydon
The 2016 Halloween Parade will be the biggest, best and most memorable one yet as Corydon celebrates Indiana’s Bicentennial. A tradition since 1934, this is one of the oldest Halloween parades in the country. Get in the spirit of Halloween and come dressed in your favorite costume and stroll through the Square in downtown Corydon.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer | Waterfront Park

Carmichael's Presents Nick Offerman | Clifton Center
Carmichael's Bookstore and The Berry Center are excited to host an event with Nick Offerman for a reading and signing of his new book Good Clean Fun: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop. Each $40 ticket includes a copy of Good Clean Fun ($35) and a $5 donation to The Berry Center, a nonprofit organization with the mission of putting Wendell Berry's writings to work by advocating for farmers, land conservation, and healthy regional economies. Trick-or-Treat at the Track | Churchill Downs
Churchill Downs and its community partners present a safe environment for families to dress up & enjoy Halloween fun under the Twin Spires. Distributing nearly 50,000 treats provided by Mars Inc., this is a family-friendly event at which children 11 and under are encouraged to dress in costume and visit over 15 community-hosted booths located throughout the first floor of the racetrack to receive candy. The Kentucky Derby Museum will also be providing free admission to children in costume until 5 p.m.
