    Louisville Outskirts Presents the Girls Rock Louisville Showcase

    Louisville Outskirts presents the first ever Girls Rock Louisville Showcase! Join the party on Friday, July 22nd at the Cure Lounge for an exciting showcase filled with young aspiring artists! Doors open at 5pm, all ages welcome! Tickets may be purchased in advance and all proceeds will go to next year's Girls Rock Camp! Entry to the event will be through the side door of the Cure Lounge located on Burnett Street.\

    Chris Knight at Zanzabar

    Chris Knight doesn't like to say much. Won't chat about his worldview or engage in conversations on his creative approach. For 15 years, 7 acclaimed albums and a hard-nosed career that's been hailed as “where Cormac McCarthy meets Copperhead Road.” Knight has always let his music do most of the talking.     Stewart Huff at the Laughing Derby

    Currently touring theatres, comedy clubs and special events across the country, Stewart Huff reaches past the norm for his genuine -- and genuinely unexpected -- comedy. His knack for embracing the foibles of humanity and his refreshing originality make him as likeable as he is hilarious. A storyteller at heart, Huff continues to amaze with his clever material and personal wit.

    PJ Morton at The New Vintage

    PJ Morton coined the phrase “soulful pop” to describe his approach to music years ago. His explanation was as complex as it was simple. The concept of soulfulness can seamlessly span genres, yet remains tangible. He will be performing at The New Vintage Friday night.     Friday Night Summer Band Concert Series

    Zakk Wylde: Book of Shadows II Tour

    The Mercury Ballroom hosts Zakk Wyldde! Zakk has been no stranger to success over the years. At only 19 years old, he was tapped to join Ozzy Osbourne’s band as lead guitarist and co-writer. He performed with Osbourne for nearly twenty years. In addition to Zakk, Jared James Nichols will also perform. The Wisconsin-born, Los Angeles-based singer, writer and guitarist's new EP “Old Glory & The Wild Revival” channels blues, grit and gusto through bombastic arena-size rock 'n' roll. It's raw, raucous and righteously real. So be ready to come out and check both talents out! You can buy tickets here. Doors open at 7pm.

    2016 Hosparus LUNAR 5k

    The Hosparus LUNAR 5k is a nighttime event for all ages. 100% of net proceeds benefit Hosparus patients and families throughout Southern Indiana and Kentucky who have little or no ability to pay.

    The Bard’s Town Presents: The Bus Stop at Sycamore and Vine

    As part of their 1st Annual Derby City Playwrights New Play Festival, The Bard’s Town presents The Bus Stop at Sycamore and Vine.

    Everyone goes to the bus stop at Sycamore and Vine. They go to hang out, but most kids would never dream of actually catching that bus downtown. But Taylor is different. He’s a dreamer, uninterested in sports, or girls; a fact that his older brother Trent has tried to change for years, defending Taylor from rumors and bullies. When Taylor can no longer ignore his own feelings, he has to decide if he can pretend to be the brother that Trent wants, and Trent has to decide if he can love the brother he has, or become one of the bullies.

    Written by Eli Keel and Tyler Curth, and directed by Joe Hatfield.

    Sustain the Grain at Revelry Boutique Gallery

    Revelry Gallery is excited to bring back local artist Bobby Hinkel for his second exhibition, titled "Sustain The Grain". Expect to see a myriad of colors and shapes in the form of textural, geometric, wooden masterpieces. Through his passion for woodworking, Bobby highlights the natural imperfections of discarded pallets into complex artistic designs. Hinkel revitalizes rough, obtuse materials by turning them into pleasing patterns that harmonize into colorful, balanced compositions. Every crack, surface, texture and saw mark is maintained in each unique piece. Come join us to see how he transforms these beautifully broken pallets into stunning works of upcycled pallet art!

    Whisky Chicks Strut

    The Whisky Chicks have hand-crafted the first ever Whisky Chicks Strut down Main Street in Louisville. We know you love a good pub crawl, but Whisky Chicks don’t crawl - we strut! This unique experience offers access to a variety of exciting downtown locations. Your $25 all-access ticket includes a flattering Whisky Chicks Strut T-shirt, cocktails + tasting, food pairings, and plenty of surprises along the way. The strut takes place on Saturday, July 23 along Louisville’s Main Street and Whiskey Row. We are kicking off our strut at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience Speakeasy at 528 W. Main Street. Along the way, we’ll stop at notable places such as Down One Bourbon Bar, Patrick O’shea’s, and the Aloft Hotel. You must be 21 years old to attend this event. No exceptions. Bring your friends, make a day trip out of it, and get ready for some serious strutting action on Whiskey Row.

    The Louisville Quest! Highlands Route

    A sight-seeing tour, scavenger hunt & race, all rolled into one. Our Highlands Route starts at the gazebo in Willow Park, and explores the fun locations along Bardstown Road in the Highlands. Each team uses a phone app to score the highest amount of points before time runs out. All Quests end with an award ceremony where teams compare notes, enjoy refreshments, and the top teams earn token awards. Enjoy! Explore! Compete!

    Volunteer at Bernheim Forest

    West Side Story at the JCC

    The Jewish Community Center presents West Side Story! West Side Story, a modern day Romeo and Juliet, is set on the harsh streets of New York City’s Upper West Side during the 1950’s. It is the story of two gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, as they battle for control of turf. The conflict escalates when one gang member falls in love with a rival’s sister. This classic musical love story is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

    Flea Circus with Flea Off Market

    2016 Flyover Film Festival

    The 2016 Flyover Festival kicks off this Sunday! The Festival features a new film every day, followed by a Q&A and after-party at a different location each time.     Jesus Christ Superstar at the RiverStage

    Homearama 2016

    Homearama is an annual Louisville event that showcases custom built new homes at a single site that are fully furnished, decorated, landscaped and feature the latest in building trends, technology and interior design.

    Homearama is July 16-31, 2016 at Norton Commons and River Crest.  Norton Commons is located in eastern Jefferson County and will feature over 20 homes, with the first ever all geo-thermal site.  River Crest will boast another first ever, asthe first ever Homearama in Bullitt County, with 9 homes at this breathtaking Mt.
