If you're looking for a chance to give back and get involved in a great charity, this is the opportunity for you.  Investing over $4 million locally for breast cancer programs, the Susan G Komen local affiliate has been leading the path over the last two decades in research, education and prevention.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Louisville Affiliate, is planning two upcoming volunteer recruitment events.  Both short and long-term volunteer openings include committee members and chairpersons for the Affiliate’s two large fundraisers, Pink Tie Ball (9/10/11) and Komen Louisville Race for the Cure (10/8/11).  Other areas include but are not limited to Development; Special Events; Education; Health Fairs; Grants and Administrative help.  Both events are open to the public.

Volunteers have made our organization as strong as it is today”, says Kristen Hasselback, Affiliate Mission Coordinator.  “We have a lot of unique volunteer opportunities so we hope those interested in sharing their time and talent will join us for an exciting year of events”, she added.

The two events will be held at the following locations and dates:

March 8: Louisville Downtown Marriott, 6pm-7:15pm, 2nd Floor in the Rose Room

March 22: Oxmoor Center, 6pm-7:15pm, 2nd Floor by Dick's Sporting Goods

It's a great chance to get involved in the community while helping out a great cause!
