The 6th annual Pink Tie Ball, presented by ICAP Energy, returns this year to the Louisville Downtown Marriott on September 11. The Ball is a tribute to breast cancer awareness and includes a “pink tie” evening with champagne and cocktail reception, dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction. Music will be performed by the Nashville band, Burning Las Vegas.
Individual tickets are available for $200, and survivor tickets are just $125.
If you’re only interested in the dancing portion, a special “dance only” ticket is available for $75. Proceeds will benefit the local affiliate of the Susan G Komen for the Cure.
Pink Tie Ball Chairwoman, Deborah Greenwald, and her committee selected a creative boxing theme, “Fight Like a Girl”, for this year’s event to symbolize the ongoing fight against breast cancer. “We encourage those who are diagnosed with breast cancer to find a woman in their life that they admire and let her be your inspiration” said Greenwald. “This is sure to be one Knock-out event,” she added. In keeping with the boxing theme, John Ramsey, former radio and TV personality and close personal friend of Muhammad Ali will serve as “Fight Announcer” (emcee).
For University of Louisville fans, a highlight of the auction includes an evening of celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the 1980 NCAA Championship with Darrell Griffith, Wiley Brown and many other UL basketball stars at the home of Denny and Susan Crum complete with appetizers and dinner catered by Vincenzo’s Restaurant for themselves and nine friends!
It’s a great evening for a great cause. Get your tickets now for this year’s Pink Tie Ball online at komenlouisville.org or by calling 502-584-CURE.
