    Bit to Do

While many of us “Live Pink” year-round, October marks the official “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”.

While many events help commemorate the cause nationwide, people are the most familiar with the Susan G Komen “Race for the Cure”.

But, there’s more to awareness than just the walk!

Next week/weekend, Jeffersonville’s Riverfront Crossing Festival will be hosting two nights of their annual 5-day celebration to help raise money for Susan G Komen for the Cure.

With both a concert and comedy evening, there’s something for everyone!

September 25th at 7:00 PM, KC and the Sunshine Band will be performing a special concert for the benefit.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.

You remember KC and the Sunshine Band… We’ve all caught ourselves dancing to their hits “Get Down Tonight”, “That’s the way (I Like it) and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Your Booty” at one time or another.

You can admit it, and you can come and do it again… it’s for charity!

In addition to the Concert for the Cure, the festival is also sponsoring “Tickled Pink” as comedian April Macie will be entertaining folks at Kye’s in Jeffersonville.

She’s been on the Howard Stern Show, Joy Behar’s show, and on the radio with Bob and Tom, and now she’s performing for you!

Come out on Thursday, September 23rd for either of two shows.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.

A portion of ticket sales for both acts will benefit the Louisville Susan G Komen for the Cure.
