Steve-O, who is notoriously known for his stunts on Jackass and Wildboyz, will be at The Laughing Derby at Comedy Caravan tonight and this weekend for his comedy tour. Steve-O started recording his stunts once he grabbed his father's video camera when he was only fifteen years old. He began producing homemade skateboarding videos with his usual dangerous stunts and well-known humor. As he grew older, he realized that college wasn't the right choice, so he enrolled in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College to enhance his role as a professional stuntman. He eventually pitched his home videos to producers after he graduated, and Jeff Tremaine, who is the creator, director, and producer of Jackass took notice while he was working with Johnny Knoxville.
Steve-O made a career with Jackass for over ten years in the television show and the films that were released from Paramount. In 2001, he began his "Steve-O Don't Try This At Home Tour," which led to his accomplishment as a stage performer across the globe. He also took part in the spin-off show known as Wildboyz with Chris Pontius. He even competed on Dancing with the Stars, released an autobiography entitled Professional Idiot: A Memoir, hosted a game show called Killer Karaoke for truTV, and he launched a YouTube channel where he has gained over a million subscribers. Additionally, he had successful standup performances in venues such as LA's Laugh Factory and New York City's Comedy Cellar, and these events led to his current tour across North America, Australia, and Europe, which he has called "Steve-O's Entirely Too Much Information Tour."
The show will begin at 7:15 p.m. tonight, 7:15 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. on Friday, October 17th, and Saturday October 18th, or 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. Tickets can be purchased for $23. To follow along with his tour, Steve-O can also be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or his YouTube channels (Steve-O and Steve-O TV).
