Little Women chronicles the lives and growing up of four women, Meg, the romantic, Amy, the youngest, Beth, the most saintly, and Jo, the writer.  Jo will chronicle their lives, passions, togetherness, and separation while growing up in Massachusetts during and just after the Civil War.  Also, Jo herself will learn about life, love, and independence.

Jan Anderson directed Little Women, for which Jason Howland wrote the music, Mindi Dickstein wrote the lyrics, and Allan Knee wrote the book.  The musical is based on Louisa May Alcott's novel Little Women.  Little Women went to Broadway at the Virginia Theatre in 2005.

Following Little Women, Hayswood Theatre will present the musical Hello, Dolly.  The show features a lady who is looking to marry a half-millionare, if for no other reason than to claim his money.

Auditions for the show are on Dec. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. at Hayswood Theatre.  The show itself will run in February and March 2011.  More information on the audition can be found at the Hayswood Theatre audition page.
