Guns are a blazing as much as the comedy in Blazing Guns at Roaring Gulch as Snipe Vermin comes to town, looking for the Sheriff, Miss Willie Lovelace. She wants to give the sheriff's life up for a more normal girl existence but must put that on hold due to Snipe terrorizing the town. The detective, and Snipe's twin brother, Harry Heartstone, comes to town around this time, leading to mistaken identities.
Kathy Norton directed the production, which features the cast of Tommy Lee Gudding (same guy from 102.3 the Max), Debbie Smith, Elizabeth Whittinghill, Charles Swarens, Bob Jackson, Shelly Knear, Susan McMonigle, Chris Wells, and Patty McClure. Also performing is The Rascals of Roaring Gulch with leader John Douglas. The group will perform during and in between the show.
Following Blazing will be the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic South Pacific. The show will take place in July, and auditions are to happen this weekend at Hayswood Theatre on May 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. Auditions will include singing, a dance audition, and cold readings from the script. More information on the auditions can be found at the Hayswood Theatre website.
