During the summer, thong sandals are as essential as the air we breathe. From rubber to cork there is a thong for every occasion. On the way out of the house: grab wallet, keys, sunglasses, slip on thongs and we are good to go. Simple flats can give off a casual look that is so effortless while bejeweled sandals can turn up the heat on simple summer dresses. Metallics add interest to an outfit but also act as a neutral so they go with almost anything. Jazzy colors like neon, which are very trendy at the moment, add a pop to white jeans or simple dresses. Wedge thongs take a day outfit to date night for a dressier feel. To us, summer is all about being comfortable yet chic at the same time, and thong sandals are vital in achieving that. Remember, while thong sandals are appropriate for almost any place in the hot summer months, the style and make of sandal is what determines how casual or high class the venue in which to be worn (after getting a pedicure from “Nail Box” of course). Shop the images below to find where you can sport this trend from our local retailers.

Put some prep in your step with Tory Burch flat, wedge, or signature sandals, available at Rodes For Her.

Casual neutral options for the guys, available at Rodes For Him.

Strappy gladiator style in neutral is good for an array of occasions, available at General Eccentric.

Metallics can add a bit of glamour to the most casual of outfits.
