You know those girls you see running around on the 4th of July with their cut off shorts unbuttoned to show off their bikini bottoms?  And their obnoxious belly baring tank tops that look like America threw up on them?  I’m all for being patriotic, especially on July 4th.  HOWEVER, it is possible to represent the red, white and blue in a chic way and not in a way that looks like you belong in a trailer park…that is no way to do this country proud.  To show your patriotic spirit this national holiday, steer away from cut off jeans and tank tops.  For a more fashionable look, opt for tailored pieces in different shades of red, white and blue.  If you must wear something with an American flag printed on it, don’t overdo it.  For example, if you decide on a pair of shorts adorned with stars and stripes, limit it to just that piece and balance it out with a neutral, flowy tank top (that covers your stomach please!)  Save the tummy flaunting for the beach.  Check out the photos below to guarantee your outfit is red, white and blue, NOT red, white and blah.
