Future NBA Hall of Famer, Shaquille O’Neal has managed to stay busy following his retirement in 2011. The Newark, New Jersey native has been working as an analyst dueling with the likes of Charles Barkley behind the mic, and starring in his own TV shows; including Shaq vs. and a new viral video comedy show which has recently debuted.

In addition, the 7 footer has been seen in World Wrestling Entertainment and in countless other places, in a 19 year career in the NBA Shaq won four championships and is a fifteen time All-Star. He is also an Olympic gold medalist, being a major factor in the 1996 U.S. Basketball team.

During his entire career though, O’Neal always showed a certain flair for being an entertainer starring in films like Kazaam and recording rap albums, this can be seen whole-heartedly in Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam, a series of shows which have become the most popular stand-up show in the country, featuring a plethora of big names in the stand-up world.

This show, ran through Shaq Entertainment is coming to the Louisville Palace May 31st, the line-up hasn’t been officially announced yet however Salt and Peppa’s Spinderella has already signed on  to perform. O’Neal’s may or may not appear himself, however grade-A comics is a definite.

In past shows comics featured include Cedric the Entertainer (Kings of Comedy), Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), Aries Spears (Mad TV), Kevin Hart (Think Like A Man), Finesse Mitchell (Saturday Night Live), Bill Bellamy (Comic View), Monique (Queens of Comedy), Corey Holcomb (Last Comic Standing) and many more.

    About Dave Rose

Recently, I completed a Masters degree in Education and have been writing for Louisville.com for over a year now, prior to that I published a humor book for young adults titled Wearing Socks with Sandals, a book about getting through high school, college, and all of the requisite problems that present themselves during that time. Currently, I spend much of my time in classroom settings as well as writing in various areas. Of course, I’m a big sports fan and love music and film, and love finding new stuff around Louisville.
