As previously mentioned in my last article, the Glenview Garden Club Tour is taking place on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Tickets are $30 apiece. It has some amazing, sustainable gardens in the line-up. Check out the preview article and look for the full coverage of my tour experience sometime Saturday evening. The website might help you decide to go ahead and jump in tomorrow or hold out until Sunday--in case the following Saturday-only garden tours catch your eye.

The Home and Garden Tour of Historic Butchertown features eleven gardens and takes place from 11am to 5pm in association with the free Butchertown Art Fair. The tour is hosted by the Thomas Edison House, at which you may purchase tickets day of tour. The price for adults is $12 apiece, $6 for each child between ages 6 and 12, and free for those little people under the age of five. Dial (502) 585-5247 for more information. All proceeds benefit the Thomas Edison House.

Another neat tour also taking place Saturday-only is the Crescent Hill Garden Club Tour lasting from 9am to 5pm. The tour features ten private gardens in another historical area of town. The Crescent Hill Garden Club will also be offering brunch 10am to noon (no reservations required). Tickets are priced at $10, with brunch being an additional $6, and may be purchased day of tour at Peterson-Dumesnil House, 301 South Peterson Avenue. Dial (502) 899-1899 for more information.
