Louisvillians have always flocked to the river. The prestigious set of Louisville has always done their flocking in the Glenview area. When it comes to gardens, the historically registered riverside neighborhood harbors old beauty and innovative urban design.

This Saturday and Sunday, the Glenview Garden Club will open the garden gates of six never-before-toured gardens to the public on their spring garden tour. The relatively secret gardens that will be covered include: 27 Southwind Road, 68 Westwind Road, The Rooftop Apartment at 21C Museum Hotel, Green Roof at The American Life Building, the Living Wall at The Green Building, and 410 Duff Lane. Each garden will demonstrate how to overcome a different gardening obstacle while simultaneously planting design inspiration in every attendee's head!

In addition to the six gardens along the tour there will also be a Plant Sale and boutiques for sell by the following vendors: Entomology Solutions, Louisville Stoneware, Rita Rabbit, Tomboy Tools, Trash & Treasure.

Proceeds from The Glenview Club's Town and Country Garden Tour benefit the Parklands of Floyds Fork, 21st Century Parks. The $30 tickets may be purchased in the gardens on the days of the tour, at Dolls Market, 3620 Brownsboro Road. Dial (502) 426-5042 with questions or concerns. The tour takes place Saturday (June 4th) and Sunday (June 5th), 10am to 5pm--rain or shine.
