Ahh Louisville, a city full of possibilities for small businesses. It seems like there’s a delicious, one-of-a-kind food truck, a juicy, vegan hot dog vendor, or an authentic gelato cart on every corner. It’s great to have the opportunity of grabbing a quick bite to eat while you’re on the go. And now, thanks to the new Betty Jeffries mobile boutique, you also have the option of grabbing a quick outfit too!

Growing clothing company, Betty Jeffries, specializes in women’s business clothing and is making shopping locally a bit more easier for Louisville. With the customer in mind, this mobile boutique gives a new meaning to the one-stop-shop and goes directly to you!

Betty Jeffries founder, Ralph London, has always had an interest in fashion and credits the idea for his business to his mother, the real Betty Jeffries (and yes, that’s her picture next to the company’s logo on the mobile boutique!) When London first began creating his line three years ago, he definitely had his mother’s classic style in mind. “My mother was a strong career woman in the 1960’s, so my designs are geared towards the working woman and have a 60’s flare,” says London about his inspiration.

London has sold his line through his webstore since the company first got started. He began selling his pieces locally at the Gift Horse last fall. And now, in typical food truck fashion, he’s taking his product to the busy streets of Louisville to approach his customer up close and personally. “I purchased our truck locally,” London says about the new traveling boutique. “It was originally used to transport cabinets and I remodeled it completely and built it up for my store.”

For now, London plans on using the mobile boutique as his main means of business. “I don’t plan on opening my own shop anytime soon,” says London. “My mobile shop is very unique and unlike any boutique in Louisville, so it’s my sole focus right now.”

You may have seen London setting up shop on 8th and Main Street this week, but the Betty Jeffries mobile boutique is constantly moving! You can catch it this weekend on Frankfort Avenue, and then again at the Butcher Town Art Fair taking place the first weekend in June. It’s highly encouraged that you follow Betty Jeffries on Twitter and Facebook too as London will be posting his location daily! You can still purchase Betty Jeffries items at the Gift Horse, and also online here!
