In could comedy there’s always more than meets the eye.  Something hiding just beneath the surface.  And The Real Queens of Comedy brings such tropes to a whole new level.

Tonight at The Bard’s Town The Real Queens of Comedy will be having a comedy show unlike anything you have ever seen in your life.  It will be outrageous, a little crazy, God knows what might happen when they pit “real” women comedians against “real” drag queens, to find out which one is the real queen of local comedy.

Competing for the Drag Queen team will be:  Magenta Alexandria Dupree, Porsha Dupree, and Veronika Elektronika.  And representing the “real” women will be:  Norma Nelson, Kate Sedgwick, and Erica Russell.  The show will be hosted by Holly Lyneaa and Hurricane Summers.

The show starts at 8 PM and tickets are $10.  Show up early because I imagine the room will sell-out fast!

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
