Join a plethora of local bands and celebrities on Saturday, September 3rd at the Mixx Factory while releasing your aggressions to benefit The Center for Courageous Kids.

Inspired by her son's battle with symptoms of Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome, Dusty June and her oldest son, Torin Hofmann, began the Pillows for a Cure Pillow Fight last year. This all day event, running from 11 am until 8 pm, will provide a family-friendly festival atmosphere complete with live entertainment and raffles. Additionally, June says, "We have invited other charities to hand out information and have tried to tie in as much of the creative community as we could find."

While the festival is free to attend, it costs $5 to participate in the pillow fight. All proceeds will be donated to The Center for Courageous Kids which provides camp-like experiences for children with disabilities and life-threatening illnesses. Pillows will be provided with the option of purchasing a commemorative pillowcase. Raffle tickets can be bought throughout the day for a chance to win a wide array of prizes donated by the local community.

Donations are still being accepted. In addition to raffle prizes, June says, "We desperately need raffle tickets, folding tables and lockable cash boxes." To contribute to this event, Contact Dusty June at dustyjune13@gmail.com or (270)307-5961.
