    Bit to Do

While the Kentucky Derby party season officially got underway weeks ago with the epic fireworks event Thunder Over Louisville, the derby's party circuit proper begins this evening.

Prime Lounge is getting Derby week started with the "Jocktails" Celebrity Jockey Bartending Charity party. It's a long name for a party.

The third annual "Jocktails" Celebrity Jockey Bartending Charity Event is a fundraiser benefiting the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund.

I'm not sure which Kentucky Derby jockeys will be in attendance, but there are a few scheduled to be working behind the bar. The list of scheduled jockeys attending at this time are:  Jon Court, Julien Leparoux and John Velazquez.

I'll be sure to let you know what's happening, who is there and who is drinking too much. Speaking of cocktails, the party is featuring the "French Manhattan." I will let you know how that goes. The French couldn't possibly know anything about mixing bourbon, but I'm willing to give them this chance.

Hopefully there won't be any jockey fights. I imagine they can't hold they're liquor very well as they don't weight too much.

The event is sponsored by Woodford Reserve.
